Meet Joel, a talented jewellery designer and owner of Cape Diamonds with roots in the scenic town of Hogsback, Eastern Cape. Inspired by nature, Joel crafts exquisite pieces that reflect his deep connection to the environment. With a degree from Natal University of Technology and experience gained in the UK alongside renowned designers, he’s mastered techniques like reposé and pavé setting. Joel’s expertise spans 20 years, focusing on platinum, gold, and precious stones.
Our Workshop
Almost all jewellery production in South Africa is automated, resulting in mass-produced items that often have a shorter lifespan than traditionally-made jewellery.

Insurance Replacements
When an item of jewellery is lost or stolen, most people don’t have accurate visual documentation of the missing item, which can make it difficult to replace. At Cape Diamonds, we carefully create a series of drawings and sketches in response to client descriptions of the missing artefact – we will keep on drawing until the client is happy.

Cape Diamonds only sells diamonds approved by the Kimberley Certification Scheme. This ensures that your diamond from us is conflict free.
